A glass of wine anyone?

This time I decided to go pencil. :)

Pencil sketching is how it all started for me. As a kid, I loved my pencils and learnt how to shade. I started by doing simple pencil drawings and then slowly learnt to analyse the light and shadow areas and make the sketch more life like.

Still Life Art is very intriguing. Bringing objects to life on paper is quite entertaining.

My next challenge is to be able to do portraits well. Portraits are far less forgiving. You have to get the proportions exactly right or you end up with a strange looking face!

I say... Challenge Accepted!

Genesis

I have always been interested in art... all sorts of it. I am dabbling in pencil sketching, acrylic painting at the moment. I have worked with other media before but acrylic seems to be my favorite right now. It is a very versatile and easy medium to work with.

I'm beginning to start producing some art work and I wanted to track my progress through this blog. Lets begin this exciting journey.  :)

I recently began incorporating Zentangle art into my paintings. I am in love with creating tangles. It exercises my creative brain and helps me get lost in the art. I really enjoy the fact that I can get extra painfully detailed in these paintings.

So, here we go...
Acrylic on Canvas 6x8

The designs here are all my own. It makes me happy to see the way it turned out. Ill try to incorporate more colors in the next one. Here are some close ups.

Yes I know, there are a few mistakes. But I thoroughly enjoyed making this and learnt a lot in the process. :)
